Art Markman does research on reasoning, decision making, and motivation. His current research explores influences of goal activation on preferences and effects of motivation and incentives on learning and cognitive performance. He has published over 125 scholarly works, including 7 books. He is co-author of a successful Cognitive Psychology textbook and is currently editor of the journal Cognitive Science.
